User management for healthcare apps

We have patient records and treatments they have undertaken previously in a table. Each row shows information about the patient and the treatment. How do we organise this to display the data effectively?

The patient has many data points associated with it, for example, first name, last name, phone number, email, address, age, etc., and so does the treatment and also there will be an appointment for the patient linking both the patient and treatment. Things can get complicated.

To solve this, first we must look at the workflow of the user, in this case the user could be the doctor or the patient, the doctor will have a list of patients and the patient will have a list of treatments which they have done.

Let’s look at the workflow of the doctor. If they will need to pull up patient records and view treatment history, then they will want to see the type of treatment and the date/time of the treatment most importantly. In this case, it doesn’t make sense to show all the details of the patient like their email address or their phone number, it makes more sense to show details of treatment and the dates it was given.
